Open Works Office is conceived of as a community for individual ideas to form and then unfold in shared conversation.  The name Open Works Office (OWO) is meant to capture the spirit of our approach, one which encourages collaborative efforts in design and construction, while maintaining the utmost care and consideration of our local to global communities and their natural environments. We recognize and appreciate the distinction between built form and architecture, where one is a physical manifestation and the other an inner experience.  A small firm located in Ea-Che (East Chelsea, aka the Flatiron District) with projects ranging from urban micro, to rural expansive, our work explores many fronts with particular interest in cultural context, textural conditions, and the physical and psychological dimensions of the architectural experience.  OWO is seasoned with over thirty years of professional experience, where every project and client interaction is considered a unique event and opportunity, one which is as much about the relationship as it is about the work.
